REPORTERS NOTEBOOK (gettysburg times-071908): "a friendly thief"

My cousin Meagan visited Spain several months ago, and unfortunately — while she was walking with a friend back to her overnight room — her friend got mugged.
The thief, though, had a heart.
You see, the crook took the gal’s purse and darted away.
When the young lass cried - - - “But I need my keys!” - - - the miscreant turned around, and threw the keychain back.
It never hurts to ask.
